On the 5th of March, 2026, the DREAMS consortium held a symposium bringing together researchers and practitioners in Budapest to exchange ideas on accessibility, mobility, and inclusive development in urban outskirts. Hosted at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the event featured an interactive workshop introducing the DREAMS Accessibility Tool (DAT), which helps planners identify underserved areas and accessibility gaps in suburban contexts. Presentations from related European DUT projects — including COLINE, NextGenMobility, 15minESTATES, PROWD, and InclusiveCity — provided an opportunity to share experiences and explore synergies around 15-minute city principles and accessibility-oriented planning.

On the first of October, a symposium was held, bringing together over 70 planners, researchers, housing experts, and mobility practitioners from across Europe to explore shared mobility and housing in the context of the 15-minute city. Organized by the Municipality of Utrecht and the University of Twente, the event featured presentations on Utrecht's spatial strategy and inclusive mobility initiatives, alongside four interactive workshops on topics ranging from business models for shared mobility to accessibility tools and community outreach. The symposium highlighted Utrecht's ambition for healthy, car-light urban living and advanced the shared goals of the DREAMS and SHARE-North Squared projects for more resilient and accessible urban outskirts.

On the 14th of March, 2025, DREAMS held a symposium bringing together transportation planners, practitioners, and researchers in Paris to discuss progress on the DREAMS Decision Support Tool and explore resilient business models for urban outskirts. Hosted by Université Gustave Eiffel and L'Institut Paris Region, the event featured presentations on shared mobility growth in Île-de-France and the region's 2040 master plan, alongside a workshop on applying the Decision Support Tool for 15-minute city planning. The day concluded with a collaborative session on co-creating business models for more accessible and sustainable urban outskirts.

The first DREAMS symposium, held on October 11, 2024, brought together transportation planners, practitioners, and researchers in Vienna to explore strategies for applying the 15-minute city concept to urban outskirts. Hosted by TU Wien and BOKU, the event featured presentations on Vienna's RothNEUsiedl development area, the AccessCity4all project, and the DREAMS project, alongside three parallel workshops on impact assessment, business models, and decision-support tools. Participants also joined a guided tour of the Vienna DREAMS Living Lab at Wiener Flur, offering a firsthand look at how 15-minute city principles can be implemented in a real-world suburban setting.
